Dear Isaac and Jessica,
For the past forty years you have been creating a three dimensional collage of family, friends, passions and interests with a commitment to what's good. Each of you is involved in your work, art and immigration law, to express beauty and to help people find and secure their place in this world. In this collage are your two fine children. How well I remember Jessica bringing a very young Katy over to my piano studio twenty plus years ago. What a surprise when Katy put her small, pink, bare toes on the keyboard and attempted a scale! Wasn't it just a short time ago that Justin , in his high school graduation year gave a stunning performance, a showstopper for sure, in South Pacific. Jessica and Isaac never let on about Justin's theatrical flair. What a revelation! As longtime neighbors on Standish Rd. we get to enjoy the casual conversations over decades; the impromptu exchange through a car window, the spontaneous visit on the hoof when Jim is working on a project in the driveway, Jessica's art shows, a legal perspective when you need it most, and stories of faraway places you have both been to, sometimes more than once. We look forward to continuing to keep an eye on your house and livestock when you are away and know that you will continue to do the same for us. Your both being our friends and neighbors contributes a lot to the general feeling that where our houses are is home, our shtetl, where neighbors look out for eachother and share both good news and bad.So that's how Jim and I fit into your collage, layers of past and present, friendship, help, laughter, loosely parallel lives, stretching into the future deep and wide. How much we appreciate being part of your lives.
With love and congratulations, Ginger and Jim
A Celebration of 40 Years Together
After thinking about all of the dear friends and family who are such an important part of our parents' lives, and have shared so many wonderful times together, we knew we needed to find a way to include everyone in honoring and celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. We decided that a blog could be the perfect way to let everyone send their well-wishes and congratulations, share stories and photos, and just say a few words. So please join us in verbally toasting (or roasting!) our beloved parents, Isaac & Jessica.
And don't let on just yet -- it's a SURPRISE!
Warmly, Katie & Justin Fromm
Please send your messages and photos to Katie at katefromm@hotmail.com to be posted (some have had technical difficulties, and this will streamline the process).
And please pass this on to anyone we’ve missed!
